Michael Flatt is currently the relieving National Manager – Commercial Vehicle Safety Team (CVST)
Previously Michael held the role of CVST Area 1 Manager for Tamaki Makaurau covering Counties Manukau, Auckland City, Waitemata & Northland Police Districts.
During his 30+ year Police career Michael has predominantly had a public facing, front line policing and major operations focus.
Michael started with CVST mid-2019 and to date it is one of the most rewarding leadership roles he has held. Other roles he has held include Police Liaison Officer at the Waka Kotahi / Auckland Transport Operations Centre (ATOC) in Auckland, relieving Waitemata Professional Conduct Manager, a 1 year Community Policing Advisor deployment in the Solomon Islands and 2I/C Contingent Commander roles for the Duke & Duchess of Sussex Royal Tour, 2011 Rugby World Cup, Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement Conference.
